In the blazing sushine we held our first ever Hertordshire Men’s blitz in Oxford. Four teams took partSt. Colmcilles St. Dympnas, St. Vincents and of course Éire Óg.
The group games kicked off in earnest and Éire Óg put in some good performances in the group stage and qualified for the final. However the heat and the games had taken their toll. Injuries led us to having to field with 11 players in the final against St. Colmcilles. The men from St Albans ran out convincing winners however Éire Óg put in some good batling performances on the first competition of the season and managed to reach the final of the competition, hopefully the first of many finals in 2017!
