Éire Óg and St. Colmcilles squared off against each other in the 2019 Hertfordshire League Final. Both teams had been in good form in the run up to the final and a large crowded turned out to support both sides. Éire Óg had the better of the early exchanges, points from Conor Carr and Piers McGlynn put the Oxford side 3 points to one ahead after 10 minutes of play. St Colmcilles fought back with points from Conor Carney and Brandon Jordan however Liam Reale and Piers McGlynn converted more points for the Oxford side.

The second half began in earnest. There was a brilliant battle between both midfields. St Colmcilles started well but were not economical in front of goal. After ten minutes of the second half Éire Óg were leading 12 points to 9. However Colmcilles were not going down without a fight and managed to reduce the deficit to two points with ten minutes remaining. 13 points to 11 in favour of the Oxford side. However Éire Óg regrouped and managed to beat Gary McGwyne in the St,. Colmcilles goal, Piers McGlynn and Adam Ferry combining to set up Sean Quinn to score a goal making it 1-13 to 0-11. Further points from Piers McGlynn and Joe Scullion helped to seal the game with a final score of Éire Óg 1-15 St. Colmcilles 0-12. Conor Dillon accepted the James Foley League trophy from Chairman of Hertfordshire Noel Griffin and lifted the cup for the fourth time in the clubs history.
