On Sunday 9th September Éire Óg Oxford welcomed St. Josephs to Horspath in Group A of the Hertfordshire championship. The home team got off to a good start with three goals scored in the opening 15 minutes. St. Josephs rallied with a goal and two points, Johnny Magee was on form for the visitors. Adam Ferry scored the point of the game with a beautiful curled effort right before the break for the Oxford side.

The home side started the second half strongly. More goals came in the second half for Oxford after some good forward play, including a well placed effort from Liam Reale. St. Josephs could not take advantage of a swirling breeze however
